Terms and Conditions

EQ Automotive (henceforth referred to as “EQ”) is a specialist supplier of car parts recycled from low mileage and/or low age vehicles. Our recycling operation was designed and is led by a highly experienced automotive engineer who has previously managed pit crews at McLaren F1 and Lotus F1, as well as heading production at Caterham Cars. We can also supply after market parts that are all Thatcham insurance approved, and reworked Category C and D vehicles.

Parts and Prices

Recycled parts are cleaned, logged on our systems with cross-referencing back to the vehicle from which they originated, and stored under cover in our warehouse. After market parts are supplied new. Every effort is made to ensure that all product information is as accurate as possible; we cannot accept any claims arising from incorrect product information.

Manufacturer part numbers are used to assist our customers but do not imply that EQ is a main dealer for any of those manufacturers.

Reworked vehicles are rebuilt using original manufacturer or after market parts and are sold as seen, with no warranty given or implied. Pre-purchase technical inspections, e.g. by AA, RAC and other organisations, are welcome.

All prices are in pounds sterling, and are subject to alteration without prior notice. VAT (Value Added Tax) at the prevailing rate will be applied to all UK and European Union (EU) orders. Our VAT registration number is 181 1628 18. Where appropriate, delivery charges will be added to the part prices before payment is made. No delivery charges arise where customers choose to collect from our warehouse.

Sales outside of the EU or to EU businesses with a valid EU tax number can be made excluding VAT: please contact us if you wish to make purchases of this nature.

Ordering and Payment

Parts and vehicles are listed for sale on a range of websites and customers should follow the instructions on those websites in order to make a purchase. Please call or email if you have any queries about the parts before or after ordering.

All orders are subject to the acceptance by the purchaser of our Terms and Conditions. All goods ordered are subject to stock availability, payment and acceptance of your order by EQ.

Acceptance of your order occurs when we send you a confirmation email, quoting your EQ order number. An invoice will be included with the delivered part/vehicle and/or emailed to the purchaser.

Payment for goods is required at the time of ordering using the credit and debit card facilities on the listing websites or can be made via telephone to EQ. Credit card orders will only be accepted provided that the registered cardholder’s name and address is given and a land-based phone number at that address. Mobile numbers only will not be accepted.

If you wish to cancel your order before we ship, please contact us immediately as we typically ship within 24 hours, and later cancellation will incur costs for you to return the goods. Cancellation must be made by email or phone and will be valid when EQ provide the purchaser with email confirmation of the cancellation.

Packing and Delivery

The Goods will be packed by EQ prior to customer collection or dispatch by a carrier. This packing cost is included in any delivery or collection cost that may be levied and includes all materials used to package the goods. Customers may choose to collect purchases from our warehouse. To do this please email/call us at the above address/number to arrange a convenient date and time.

For deliveries, EQ will not be liable for any damage or consequential loss of any kind whatsoever which may be caused to goods at any time prior to receipt by the purchaser.

For all export orders the purchaser’s country of residence may impose import duties and taxes on the parts we ship. Any additional charges for customs clearance are not included in our prices and will require payment upon delivery of goods or presentation of invoice. Should your order be returned to EQ due to unpaid import duties and taxes, restocking fees may be charged to your credit or debit card. As Customs policies vary widely from country to country we recommend strongly that you contact your local Customs authority to confirm any possible import duties and taxes before placing an order.

Subject to stock availability and payment authorisation, we aim to ship items within 24 hours from the time of the order. Delivery to UK addresses will usually occur on the day after shipment but customers should allow up to 7 working days. Delivery to European customers may be within 48 hours but customers should allow up to 10 working days. Other international customers should allow up to 21 working days for delivery.

Suggested delivery times and promise of delivery are made in good faith and every effort will be made to keep to delivery times/dates given, however time and place delivery shall not be the essence of the contract and EQ shall not be liable for any loss caused through delay or failure to deliver.

Acceptance of delivery is the responsibility of the purchaser to inspect the package on delivery. If any damage is evident the purchaser should reject the package or sign ‘DAMAGED’. The purchaser must be aware that any package signed for cannot retrospectively be claimed as damaged. Once the package is signed for all transport liability ends.

Proof of delivery supplied by the delivery agent is deemed sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received by the buyer.

If the purchaser fails to take delivery of the goods or any part thereof at the time/date agreed for delivery then EQ shall be entitled to cancel or suspend such delivery and all other outstanding deliveries and to charge the purchaser for any loss suffered by EQ. Redelivery will be at the purchaser’s expense.

Returns Policy

Parts may be returned for a refund within 7 working days of delivery. Where goods have been correctly supplied a restocking fee of 25% of the value of the goods will be applied.

All returned goods must be in a saleable condition, in their original packaging and presented with a copy of the original invoice or sales receipt.

Rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

The purchaser is responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, and should therefore ensure that sufficient postal insurance is purchased to cover the value of the goods in case of loss.

Terms and conditions may change at any time so it cannot be assumed that the same terms and conditions will apply in the future.

None of the terms affect the purchaser’s legal rights, which are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law in England, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to the extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Privacy Policy

EQ will not disclose the purchaser’s information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In such case, the third party will be requested not to disclose any details to any other third party.
